Shaker Card 2

Hello,

So here comes the second shaker card :)

I wanted to try something different, and to use multiple patterned papers, here is what I came up with.

Here come the detailed steps!

I stamped the lovely cake from Mudra stamps onto my panel using Versafine Onyx Black - a red cs. This is going to be focal point. I've carefully cut out the cake and this portion is going to be my shaker.

Here you can see that I've cut out the cake part. I placed the red cs on top of my base white cs, and to know the position, I've stamped using a lighter shade onto the white cs.

I've cut out each layer of the cake from different patterned papers - I know I've used more than 3 PPs as per the theme ;)

Now the cake is paper pieced layer by layer.

Paper piecing is complete!

Now comes the hard(?!) part to hold the shaker elements within the cake design. I had to cut multiple pieces of foam tape and adhere to the cake border. It does look ugly, but I assure you it'll have a good finish :)

I added some golden beads for the shaker part. The main red panel is covered with acetate and foam tape to the borders. Remove all the backing sheets and stick the tape to complete :)
