Jungle Birthday Shadow Box
Hello,
Now here comes my third and final post using the Little Birdie's Jungle Birthday stampset. I saved my personal best for the last ;)
The moment I saw the stampset, I wanted to create a shadow box with all the animals resembling a jungle :) So this is my first try in making a shadow box from scratch!
I started by making the main shadow box out of the wood design patterned paper from Papericious Fairy Land paper pack. For the inner linings, I created a cloud scene using Craftyscrappers Build A Scene stencil and distress inks. All the animals are stamped using Versafine Onyx Black ink, colored using Faber Castell watercolor pencils, distress inks and Faber Castell connector sketch pens. I know I have a loooong way to go in coloring :P
I've then fussy cut all the cute critters. For the grass layer, I cut out 2 wavy hillside shapes out of green cardstock and ran it under the Tracing Wheel to get faux stitched lines across the edges. I didn't have a die for it and the tracing wheel just gave me the exact feel of a die :)
Oh wait! I didn't tell you! It is not just a shadow box, but a pull slider too :) The bunny on the top brings you a message! :)
The message is a diecut using Gina Marie Scallop Stitched Rectangles. The sentiment is stamped and I added a pocket behind the shadow box to hold this hidden message.
To add more interest, I've added 2 glitter tree embellishments and a few foil hearts and enamel dots.
The monkey is almost hidden in all the above pics :) Here he comes! :)

How cute!! And how fun! I've not tried one of these shadowbox cards, but now I might have to give it a try! Love how you have used all your animals to create a jungle scene. And the stitching wheel is a genius idea! The funny thing is I just saw someone with the exact same idea and thought it was genius there as well! I never would have thought of it for sure. Added to all the other things, there is the added surprise of the pull up greeting! Great job! Thanks for playing with Jo's Scrap Shack.
