Hidden Slider Card - Beary Special Friend

Hello,

I'm back with another post today, to share an interactive card - a hidden slider! I've followed Jennifer McGuire's tutorial over here, to create this card.

This is how the card looks when opening the envelope.

And when you pull the tab, a hidden surprise reveals a bear with a cake! :)

I wanted to go by the sketch MFT had for the 500th sketch challenge. I started by die-cutting a heart using Nellie's Choice Multiframe Heart dies, and ink blended rainbow colors using distress inks - Wilted Violet, Salty Ocean, Mowed Lawn, Mustard Seed, and Candied Apple. I then stamped the bear image from MFT's Beary Special Birthday stamp set onto watercolor cardstock, using Altenew Obsidian ink and clear heat embossed it. I've colored the image using Arteza real brush pens, and die-cut using a coordinating die.


I followed the tutorial to create the hidden slider, so that the bear image is hidden behind the heart. For the base, I blended Picked Raspberry distress ink in an ombre effect, and lightly stamped the hat image from the same stamp set, using Wow embossing ink. It is just to add a subtle interest to the background. I then stamped the sentiments and completed the card using few jewels.

Do you see those party hats? It is very light and tough to capture in pics!
