Home Decor - DIY Flower Vase from Coffee Cup
Hello,
I have a super quick and simple home decor to share with you all today. It is a flower vase made out of a use-and-throw coffee cup :)
I took a paper coffee cup, cut out the base and inverted the cup. This gives a broader base and a narrow mouth for the vase. I then wrapped it with a red and white gift wrapper I had left over from some packing. To cover the open base of the vase and make it stable, I cut a circle from a piece of cardboard from a carton box and adhered to the cup. I added a matching red ribbon that looks like a border around the bottom. I couldn't get a neat finish with the hot glue and ribbon, maybe I should add a golden or silver bead line to cover it :)
I felt something was missing when I added the flowers, so I took the lid of the coffee cup too and adhered at the base. It gave a nice shape and look to the vase.
The flowers are store-bought. I do not have a pic of the lid used in the base, but you can see it in this quick video.
