Card in a box - Butterflies

Hello All,

I'm back now with a card in a box - fluttering with colorful and beautiful butterflies. Here it is!

To start with, I made the base of the box card using black cardstock. To know how to make it, there are a lot of tutorials on youtube, I chose the one below.
Card in a box - Youtube

I stamped 3 kinds of butterflies from Martha Stewarts stamps using Versafine Onyx Black ink on Beilo cardstock. I then colored the butterflies using Fuji transparent watercolor folios.

The lovely butterflies were then fussy cut, and I applied a coat of mod podge to get a shiny effect. Once dry, I added some pearls to the body of the butterflies. That added a pretty interest :) Here are a few close up step by step pics!

I've used a golden shade invitation card to cut out strips and adhered the butterflies to them. Once the butterflies are stuck to the base, I've embellished the other sides using various patterned papers, and added a few butterfly stickers to go with the theme. I've also added borders using matching blue patterned washi tape. The front panel has cut out circles, along with stamped and fussy cut sentiments 'For You' and 'Sending you Smiles'. The card is wrapped using a blue satin ribbon and a few punched out butterflies too :)

This card was made for my partner Uma in ICR Swap for the month of May.
