Football Easel Card + Gift Holder
Hello,
This is my 100th post and I'm glad a special gift has made its place here! :)
Today I have a card that I made for a colleague who is a football player. It is an easel card, along with a box at the bottom for holding our team's wishes on his farewell.
I've used Papericious Pretty Basics paper stack for the green polka dots sheet. The easel card is made using circle die cuts on green cardstock using Gina Marie Scallop Stitched Circle dies. I printed and fussy cut a football image from the net, and attached to the frame using foam tape. For more interest, I added glossy accents on the black areas. I handwrote the sentiment using Versamark watermark pen and heat embossed in black. For the stopper, I used a stamp from Mudra - Humming Birds stampset, and heat embossed in black. It is mounted on foam tape and attached to the base.
I used an empty cello tape roll for the box at the base. I gave a couple of coats of white gesso inside and out. Once dry, I attached another green diecut for the base. The hinge is formed using a strip of green cardstock so that the box opens on the top. To keep it simple and masculine, I added just one button and one silver sequin on the front.
I had all the wishes in small chits added in the box and that completes the gift box! :)
