Watercolor Block Stamping - Hello Card 1
Hello,
I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire's block stamping technique and watercolor stamping by Kelly, and wanted to give it a try. I made 2 cards using this technique and this is my first one.
Watch this video to know how to do watercolor stamping by Kelly! It is part of the series 'What Would Kelly Make' by Simon Says Stamp.
I inked up my acrylic block using Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet distress inks. I wanted to get the tile effect, so used the side with grid lines. I then misted the block with water, with very little blending due to the grid lines. I smooshed this onto watercolor paper and look at that result! I love the geometry here! So simple and colorful :)
I then diecut the panel using Gina Marie Scallop Stitched Rectangle die and make it the focal point by adhering to the base cardstock. I then stamped and added the sentiment to complete the card :)
