Women Empowerment - Card 3

Hello,

Today I'm back to share my 3rd card for the women empowerment theme! Check out the previous cards here.
2. Card 2

I just loved the quote so much that I wanted to make a card with it as the highlight, so here it is.


I printed out the quote on a bigger cardstock this time, and did some ink smooshing using in rainbow colors using distress inks. In order to achieve the splotches effect, I've used a cardstock that wasn't suited for distress inks. This was a happy accident discovery a while back, so I planned to get it done now :) I then blended the same colors using a blending brush. I then adhered the smooshed panel to a white scalloped stitched rectangle die cut. I've used the Scalloped Stitched Rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs.


For the background, I did some ink blending using Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet distress inks. I then misted it with 2-3 fine mists of water to achieve the beautiful effect. It is adhered to a top folding white notecard. To complete the card, I added a pink flower and matched it using some purple watercolor. I'm not much satisfied with the colors on the flower, but I didn't have another choice :)
