Home Decor - DIY Flower Vase from Waste Jar

Hello,

Today I'm here with a super simple flower vase that can even be a kids activity! :) I'm a lover of turning household items into simple art, and generally think before throwing anything away as trash :)

So I had a plastic jar with a broken lid, and didn't want to throw it away as it was a pretty thick and sturdy jar. I gave a try to convert it into a vase and here it is, transformed! :)

All I had to do was to coat it with mod podge and sprinkle glitter all over the jar, including the base. I've used Itsy Bitsy's Fairy Dust - Sunrise Gold. Once the first layer was dry, repeat another coat with mod podge and glitter, to cover any missing spots and to add more shimmer and shine! The hardest part was to wait during the drying time :)

Once dry, it is all yours to embellish in creative ways! I chose to keep it simple, and just added a wide golden ribbon around the neck of the jar, along with a handmade bow from the same ribbon. I've added some store-bought flowers and this vase matches perfectly for our dining table :)

Thank you for stopping by, hope you like my creation! Do let me know your feedback! Have a nice day :)
