Joy Wreath Card

Hello,

I'm glad to be guest designing at Scrapping 4 Fun Challenges today. Check out the new Challenge #155 - Christmas and play along.

Here is my take for the challenge.


I've used the layered wreath from Pink Fresh Studio and die-cut from 2 different green colored cardstock. The berries are die cut from red cardstock and coated using glossy accents. The word JOY is die cut from red cardstock using MFT Stitched Alphabets die set. I've stacked 3 die-cuts for each letter and applied glossy accents for more interest and shine. 


Once the die cut pieces were ready, I started the base. I took a stripe textured cardstock in white (from Itsy Bitsy's Little Birdie brand) and blended 2 blue colored inks. They are Arctic and Blueprint from Craftyscrappers. I love how the inks blend so well! And since they are water-reactive, a generous mist of water gave a beautiful splatter effect on the base! It gives the feel of snow in real :)


I arranged the die-cuts on the blue base once it was dry, and attached to a red mat. The base is a white top folding notecard. I added a tiny handmade bow using red ribbon to complete the wreath card :)
