Coffee Card
Hello,
I'm here today with my homework for Day 19 of Online Card Classes - Spring Card Camp 2. It is my first try with monoprinting!
I started by creating the background using 3 brown shaded inks. I used the coffee bean stamp from Joy Clair's Coffee Lovers stamp set to lift the ink from the panel and stamped onto another light kraft cardstock. This gave me 2 panels to work on. The main one became the background for the card while I used the stamped background to die-cut a tag from. Though I wasn't really happy with my monoprinting technique, I liked the fun background it resulted in, so went ahead with the coffee card :)
I then die-cut the background panel using Pink Fresh Studio Essentials - Diagonal Stitched Rectangles die for a beautiful frame effect. The tag is die-cut using Your Next Stamp Cool Tag 3 set. I colored the border of the tag using a coffee brown Arteza real brush pen.
I then stamped the coffee cup and the heart images using brown ink, fussy cut and attached to the tag using foam tape. I stamped the sentiment directly onto the tag background. For the base, I took a top folding white A2 notecard, colored the borders using the same brown real brush pen and mounted the monoprinted panel along with the tag using foam tape. I completed the card using a few sequins.
