Christmas Sweater Background Cards

Hello,

With the Christmas season in full swing, I'm sharing my bunch of cards using the ugly sweater design!

I started by making the background using the Ugly Sweater Background Builder stamp from Joy Clair. I love this huge stamp set, and it is perfect to make cards in bulk. I've made 4 cards today simultaneously with the help of a stamp positioning tool - Stampaholic Nano :)

I chose a light kraft cardstock and stamped the images using Carrot ink from Craftyscrappers. Once the backgrounds were ready, I trimmed them to the required size and matted with a layer of direct-to-paper Carrot ink cardstock. It is then attached to a top-folding kraft notecard.

Then, I have die-cut a heart from red cardstock using Nelli's Choice Multiframe Heart dies. I gave a good coating of Wink of Stella glitter for all the shine! I then die-cut printed vellum with snowflakes design in a smaller heart. The sentiment 'Warm' is from Heffy Doodle's Eskimo Kisses stamp set, white heat embossed on red cardstock. 'Wishes' is from WPlus9 Happy Wishes die set. It is layered with 3 more diecuts from kraft cardstock for added dimension and interest.

Look at all the shimmer!! Tough to capture in photos!

  6. Such a cute card - and it did remind me of a sweater but not an ugly one! Love the overall design and that you used the same two colors throughout. Thanks for joining the Lost Coast Design Challenge!
