Love You A Latte - Magnetic Bookmark

Hello,

I have an interesting creation to share with you all today - a magnetic bookmark! I gifted this to my husband, and now my daughter is behind me to make one for her :)

I created this using the coffee cup die from MFT Cafe All Day die set. The coffee cup and the lid are die-cut from white cardstock thrice, 2 layers for the back of the bookmark and one layer for the front. The top of the bookmark would be patterned paper, so I die-cut the same set again from some patterned papers. I chose one in pink and teal, and kept the lid and holder to match it in teal color.

I then used a strip of white cardstock to act as the hinge, to open and close the bookmark. I folded this strip of cardstock, and sandwiched between the front and the back layers of coffee die-cuts. Inside the sandwich, I've also placed two small magnetic tape strips, so that when they open and close, the magnets hold the page together. I guess it is easier explained if you see the quick video below!

The sentiment is from Joy Clair 'Coffee Lovers' stamp set, stamped using Altenew Obsidian black ink and clear heat embossed.
