Teacher Appreciation Card

Hello,

Today's card is what I made for my daughter's Pre-K teacher. We didn't have a proper teacher appreciation this year, so this card is delayed and I'm gonna give it to her this week :)

I was inspired by the color palette and sketch in the latest MFT challenges, and I've used MFT products. I started by die-cutting the teacher image from watercolor cardstock using MFT Lessons In Love stamp/die combo. I then placed the negative into a stamping tool, placed the positive in position, aligned the stamp and stamped using Altenew Obsidian black ink. I then clear heat embossed the image and colored using Arteza real brush pens with water.

For the background, I wanted a chalkboard effect. So I took a black cardstock and blended with Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment ink. Once I got the black toned down, I stamped the tiny images from the stamp sets using Versamark ink and heat embossed in lemon yellow embossing powder. I trimmed it to the required size. The other stamp used is MFT Favorite Teacher set.

For the main panel, I chose a cream/grey cardstock. The blue and yellow strips are white cardstock with inks blended using the direct-to-paper technique. I've used Persian Blue and Fresh Lemon inks from Altenew. The sentiment is also stamped on a blue inked panel, using the same lemon yellow embossing powder. I completed the card by adhering the teacher image and the sentiment using foam tape, and some matching blue sequins.

Oh, btw, Bhuvi also wanted to add her personal touch, so she took out scraps from my supplies and made this tiny cute card :) I had these flowers left over from a previous set of cards. They are from MFT Stitched Flowers. She blended them with distress inks and adhered using her school glue. The background panel is also a left over diecut from another card I made in the last couple of months. She used it as her background for the flowers :) On the inside, she added a message to her teacher!
