Lily Slimline Card

Hello,

I'm back at Crafty Meraki blog today, with a floral slimline card to inspire you all today :)

I've used the Lily Dienamics die set from MFT Stamps, and I love the beautiful flowers you can make with this set! I started by die-cutting 4 sets of the flowers and leaves from white cardstock. I've then blended Picked Raspberry distress ink onto the flowers, with a darker shade in the middle and lighter shade towards the end of the petals. I used a wider blending brush for the first layer and for the darker shade in the center, I used a blending brush of the smallest size. For the leaves and stem, I've used Mowed Lawn distress ink

After ink blending, I've added spots to the flowers using a brown marker. Then, I used my bone folder and embossing tool to curl up the petals. This method adds a great difference and gives a beautiful dimension to the flowers! I then adhered the layers together, along with the sepal in green, using strong liquid glue. Once dry, I sprayed a fine mist of water over the flowers, to set the dimension and curl effect.

Once all the flowers, leaves and stems were ready, I moved on to the background. I chose to try the dye inks from Pinkfresh Studio, and they gave a really smooth blending! I've used the Indian Summer set of ink cubes here. I then die-cut the background using Pinkfresh Studio Slimline Diagonal Stitched Rectangles die to get the lovely border frame. I arranged the flowers and stems onto the background and adhered them using strong liquid glue. The sentiment is from Altenew Sentiment Strips stampset, heat embossed in white on black cardstock. I finished the card by using some matching sequins and jewels.
