Thanksgiving Card

Hello,

With the fall season in full swing and thanksgiving around the corner, here I have a card perfect for them both! 

I'm guest designing at Cut It Up Challenges blog for challenge #186, with the theme Thankful/Thanksgiving using Ink Smooshing technique.

Take a look at the card first.


I've always loved wreath cards but never made one. So I started by smooshing fall colors onto watercolor paper and created a beautiful blend. I love the watercolor backgrounds! The inks I've used are from Craftyscrappers brand. I then used the Autumn Leaf die set from Poppy Stamps and die-cut several leaves from the smooshed watercolor background.



The leaves are then arranged alternatively to form a wreath. The base is textured white cardstock from Little Birdie. The wreath is attached to square mat layers in brown and olive green. The sentiment is heat embossed in white on the olive green cardstock and die-cut using Gina Marie Stitched Circles die set. I added another circle layer in brown and added them to the base using foam tape, to complete the card.
