Explosion Box for Birthday Boy

Hello,

After a long time, I made an explosion box! This was an order from a friend, for her son's 5th birthday and I'm so glad to have made it :)

Here is the first look of the box!

And when you open the lid, you have 3 layers of fun, with a box in the middle to hold small gift(s) :)

Watch the video to see how the box looks in real!

I've used heavyweight red cardstock as the base for all the layers, and the patterned papers are from Echo Park Paper - Imagine That Boy collection. Vriksh loves cars, aeroplanes, the galaxy and planets, and these papers were the perfect fit for him!

For the lid, I've used a layer of vellum over the patterned paper, to tone down the colors. The happy birthday die is from Paper Smooches and the name is formed using LLD Alphabets die set from MFT. All the diecuts are stacked to give more dimension and sturdiness. I gave a generous coat of Wink of Stella glitter to add some shine, sorry, couldn't capture them in the pics!

Treat your eyes to some more pics :)

The tags inside are kept plain, to add photos and personal sentiments. They are die-cut using Scalloped Stitched Dies in Circles and Squares, from Gina Marie Designs.

Thank you for stopping by, hope you like my explosion box! Do let me know your feedback! Have a nice day :)
