Colorful Rainbow Birthday Card

Hello,

I'm back so soon with another card, this time more colorful with rainbow theme :)


I started by die cutting the border design from 7 pieces of white cardstock. You can use scraps here as long as they are wide enough for the design. The die is from Pink Fresh Studio Essentials - Classic Edgers dies. I then blended them using Distress inks in a rainbow color
1. Wilted Violet
2. Wilted Violet + Salty Ocean for the Indigo color
3. Salty Ocean
4. Mowed Lawn
5. Mustard Seed
6. Spiced Marmalade
7. Candied Apple


I recently gave in to the colorful blending brushes from Taylored Expressions and totally loved using them on this card! The blending is so smooth and having a separate brush for each color family is just awesome! 

I've then arranged the diecuts overlapping the previous color so that it shows through the holes of the flower design. After adhering them in the order on a white cardstock, I trimmed the panel to the required size, and attached to a top folding white note card using foam tape. I also misted the rainbow panel for added effect!


The sentiment is actually a mix up from two different sets. 'Have a colorful' is from Simon Says Stamp's Color Me Trees set and the word 'Birthday' is from Mudra's Let's Party stamp set. I've stamped them using Versamark ink and heat embossed in white. I then trimmed it to a banner shape and added to the rainbow panel. That completes the card :)
