Window Shaker Birthday Card

Hello,

I'm here with a fun birthday card today - a window shaker card!


I started by making the front panel first, where I have a rectangle framed die-cut from white cardstock, along with a scallop inner-frame. The dies used here are from Pink Fresh Studio Essentials - Diagonal Stitched Rectangles and Inverted Stitched Scallop Circles. I then moved onto the main card base. It is a white top folding notecard with a blue mat on top. I positioned the front panel over the notecard, marked the position of the dies, and die-cut through the notecard too, so I have a matching window ready. 


I added acetate to the back of the front panel and over the top of the base notecard. This forms the place for the shaker. I added foam tape and sequins from Papericious 'Under the Sea' collection, and adhered them together. The shaker is ready :)


I then stamped a mermaid from Newton's Nook Designs Narly Mermaids stamp set. It is stamped using Altenew Obsidian black ink, clear heat embossed, and colored using Arteza real brush pens. I then fussy cut the image out and adhered to the front panel, below the shaker. The sentiment is also from the same set, stamped and heat embossed in white.


Now, for the inside of the window shaker. I've used the Bokeh stencil set from Newton's Nook Designs and created the background. I was inspired by the circle confetti on the inspiration pic for Inky Paws challenge. The distress inks used are Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers, and Wilted Violet. I love this color combination and how the bokeh effect turned out! I then gave a fine mist of water for added effect. This panel is adhered to the inside of the card, and it is seen through the window shaker :)
