Happy Bird-Day Rocker Card

Hello,

Today's card is a fun fold card - a rocker/swing card. This is my first try and I love this simple fun design :)


Check out the rocking card in action.
I started by getting the focal panel ready first. I've used a bird from the Baby Birds stamp set from Paper Smooches. I stamped the bird using Altenew Obsidian black ink, heat embossed in clear embossing powder and colored using Arteza real brush pens. I've then fussy cut the image and added glossy accents for the eyes for more interest. 


The background is a stitched circle die cut from white cardstock, where I stamped hearts from the same stamp set in Versamark ink and white heat embossed. Then I've blended pink distress ink for the emboss resist technique. I then used a scallop stitched circle diecut in white behind the pink circle. I stamped the sentiment from the same set in black and clear heat embossed. I attached the bird to the panel using foam tape. The stitched circles dies are from Gina Marie Designs.


I then got all the circles ready for my base design. The outer circle is cut using a compass cutter from white cardstock and a semicircle from pink textured cardstock. I ran it through Sunny Studios Quilted Hearts embossing folder and blended lightly using Picked Raspberry distress ink. I completed the card by adding a few sequins.
