Altenew dodec hugs
Hello,
I love cover plate dies and the Dodec cover die from Altenew is my first and favorite :)
I started by diecutting metallic pink cardstock as a trial and it came out so well that I wanted to make a card out of it. So I adhered it to a white shimmer cardstock. The metallic pink and white shimmer match so good, making the card look super shiny and sparkling. I'm sorry it is tough to catch the sparkle in pics, but it is awesome in real!
I then diecut a heart from vellum using Nelli's Choice Multiframe Heart dies, colored it from the backside using Altenew Coral Berry ink. The sentiment is diecut from the same white shimmer cardstock using Altenew Script dies. I've adhered it to the heart and added to the cover die panel.
Maybe you can catch some sparkle in this dark photo!
I then added some white pearls to border the heart and a few pink pearls in the centers of the dodec design. I added this panel onto a top folding white notecard and felt something was missing. I didn't really like it, so took it off and attached to a matching metallic pink square top folding notecard. And that made a looot of difference! I love how the pink and white go well so good here, lifting the overall look of the diecut panel! :)
