An Inch August - Day 8
Hello,
Here is my 8th creation for the AnInchAugust challenge at Instagram. It is a month long challenge for August where you get to show your creativity 'in an inch'. Check out the details here and do participate :)
I made a micro album for Day 8 :) It is my fav so far in this challenge and I loved the finish.
The album is made following the tutorial by Dr.Sonia. I chose a floral patterned paper from Pink Fresh Studio and started with a 4inch square sheet. Making the album pages is so easy, just follow the scoring, cutting and folding from the tutorial.
For the outer covers on the front and back, I've used a cereal box square as base, covered it with black cardstock. I cut out a smaller square from silver textured glitter cardstock and adhered as a panel. A black circle punch out is used to cover a circle steel plate so that it attracts the magnet used to hold the album together. On top of the black circle punch, I've cut a tiny circle design from one of DCWV's patterned paper. It was such a tiny design from a scrap piece of paper. The overall look resembles a record :)
Now for the album fastener, I've wrapped a tiny magnet in black cardstock using folds on 3 sides and glued it inside. This ensures the magnet doesn't fall outside and also doesn't peel the cardstock it is attached to, with its magnetic force. The silver cardstock is used to mat the black base and it is super thick that the front and back covers are very sturdy!
Watch the video to see how tiny the album is - I've named it micro album :)
